Exercise Fights Fatigue
http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20061103/exercise-fights-fatigue-boosts-energy
OUR VIEW:
Chronic fatigue from stressors such as work, family life, and little sleep can be improved with a regular exercise program. Current research shows us that exercise can have a more pronoun effect than some stimulants and even those with cancer or chronic disease can improve their energy levels. With a correctly designed and consistent exercise program, you should expect to see increased energy levels within the first four weeks.
In The News….
We now offer The Eleet Program™ at Lifestyles at OakBend in Richmond, TX. Through a combined effort our program is being delivered to the general population, post-rehab patients, and athletes throughout Fort Bend County. Take a look at the August 2010 Edition of Fort Bend Lifestyles and Homes.

Improve Your Bike Speed
OUR VIEW:
Using as described in this article “threshold workouts” or what we refer to as HIIT training, cyclists, triathletes, and runners can reduce their overall training volume but still see drastic improvements in time. It is important to have a structured training program to maximize workload but reduce the chance of injury.
2010 Muay Thai Classic: RESULTS
Well the time finally came for my run at the 2010 Muay Thai Classic Championship. I spent the last 6 months rehabbing my knee, drastically improving my skill and conditioning level (a combination of sport specific drills, The Eleet Program™, MMA Conditioning Drills, Medicine Ball Training, Outdoor Fitness Bootcamp, and Kettlebell Training). I want to thank my coaches Tim Mousel and Pat Swan and all of my training/sparring partners. Without great instruction and team members to challenge me, I would not have performed as well as I did. Unfortunately I fell short of my goal of a championship however I had some fantastic fights and finished with another 2nd place finish. Video footage of the fights will be available to all members of Eleet Fitness.

Acclimatize to the Heat
http://static.americanrunning.org/fitnews/ARAfitnews_V28_3/index.html
OUR VIEW:
With personal and team experience with this topic, we at Eleet Fitness continue to preach the importance for athletes to acclimatize to the heat. As this article demonstrates, heat can significantly decrease performance. It is important to be knowledgeable about air temperature as well as the heat index (the combination of air temperature and relative humidity). The formula to determine heat index is somewhat complex so we will not go into detail on the calculations however is it important to know when the heat index has reached dangerous levels. Please use the information below to help identify dangerous heat index zones.
EFFECTS OF THE HEAT INDEX
27–32 °C 80–90 °F
Caution — fatigue is possible with prolonged exposure and activity. Continuing activity could result in heat cramps
32–41 °C 90–105 °F
Extreme caution — heat cramps, and heat exhaustion are possible. Continuing activity could result in heat stroke
41–54 °C 105–130 °F
Danger — heat cramps, and heat exhaustion are likely; heat stroke is probable with continued activity
over 54 °C over 130 °F
Extreme danger — heat stroke is imminent
Fat Around the Abdomen Associated with Reduce Brain Volume
http://www.healthcanal.com/brain-and-nerves/8055.html
OUR VIEW:
Increased adipose tissue especially around the midsection has been shown to have many health risks. A new link between excess abdominal fat and smaller brain volume has been found and with further research may help us better understand cognitive diseases of the brain such as dementia.
