Stop the Soy!

http://www.westonaprice.org/blogs/soy-in-mlm-products-answers-to-two-letters-.html

Our View:

We have been suggesting for years that everyone should reduce or eliminate the use of soy.  The positive effects of soy have not been proven and negative effects of soy have been demonstrated for years. Despite these facts our commercialized society ignores the facts and the damage being done.  Even the American Heart Association has modified their stance on soy (http://www.medpagetoday.com/PrimaryCare/DietNutrition/2534).

One has to wonder why the endorsement for soy in the first place.  What studies convinced one of the most well respected medical organizations to promote soy?  Were there enough studies? Were they longitudinal?  It’s time that we awaken from our slumber and start to make decisions by gathering and researching information on our own.  Relying on some so-called health entity can and often will lead you down a questionable path.  Motivation, agendas, political pressures should always come into question when reading research material from any source.  It is important to remember when new information is presented, keep reading, it may just save your life.

Lifestyle Transitions!

http://www.westonaprice.org/making-it-practical/258-kitchen-transition.html

Our View:

There are so many healthy lifestyle changes that can be made however there are a few that should be at the top of the list. After many years of assisting people with weight loss, body composition changes, and improved blood profiles, it seems that most people do not understand that exercise is just a small component of the equation. The other parts are made up of the choices you make during the other 23 hours of the day. Caffeine, lack of sleep, hydrogenated oils, artificial sweeteners all have a negative impact on your health. If you truly want to change the way you look and feel all the while reducing your risk of developing lifestyle diseases, it is time to stop making excuses and start making lifestyle transitions.
