How to Get Rid of Belly Fat!

Our View:
This article is one of our favorites. The question of flat abs comes up on a daily basis and most people do not understand the hard work and the mechanisms behind it. This article paints a good picture of what it takes to reduce those tree trunks we call waists. Three major points that everyone needs to understand is we MUST all perform cardiovascular exercise (we use high intensity interval training), strength training for the entire body, and maintain a healthy nutrition plan.
Cardiovascular Exercise (preferably high intensity interval training)
- will reduce overall body fat
- depending on the individual you will need somewhere between 10-20% body fat to actually see your abdominal muscles
Strength Training for the Whole Body
- will help increase and preserve full body lean muscle tissue (the abdominals are muscle tissue, if you want to see them you have to train them effectively)
- during full body weight training your abdominals are getting lots of work
A Healthy Nutrition Plan
- will help eliminate the unwanted storage of calories
- will help with building and maintaining lean muscle tissue

Exercise, Diet and Colorectal Cancer

Our View:
We believe it is important to be specific when identifying the specific lifestyle factors that effect the onset of different types of cancers. Previous research has loosely identified the connections between lifestyle factors and some cancers. This Dutch study focuses more on specific factors and helps us gain a better understanding of the health behaviors that impact our risk of colorectal cancer.
