WHAT TO EXPECT

Using a Heart Rate Monitor will allow you to accurately measure your intensity during your workout.  Workouts can become even more efficient with a constant monitoring of your heart rate.

The practice of logging your food and exercise coupled with the constant feedback from your exercise time can help you recognize and change habits.

You will learn not to be perfect, but how to mix and match your foods in real life in real situations to maintain your health.

Once you know the TRUTH about your body and exactly how it responds to easily manageable nutrition and exercise one cannot rely on previous delusions such as being too difficult or getting too old.

The next challenge begins January 17th and ends April 26th

Biggest Winner Challenge Spring 2010 Results (Lifestyles at OakBend)

Lifestyles at OakBend hosted their first 8-week Biggest Winner Challenge in the Spring of 2010.  The challenge was similar to the popular TV show The Biggest Loser with some minor modifications.  Participants were randomly assigned to one of two teams with team workouts scheduled weekly.  The challenge included a team and individual competition with prizes awarded to both the team and individual winner.  There were over 20 participants and resulted in the loss of over 100lbs, over 35% body fat, and over 60 inches.  The core goal of this program was to help the participants set and achieve both short- and long-term goals by introducing an individualized, multi-phase program.  The Biggest Winner Challenge utilized the first phase of their multi-phase exercise program.

“The goal of our Biggest Winner Program is to introduce appropriate weight loss strategies and to show our participants what it takes to be successful with a fitness program.  We incorporate proper goal setting, properly progressed exercise programs, and sound nutritional advice,” said Kaiser.
