What is interval training?

Simply, interval training is alternating short bouts of high intensity activities with short bouts of low to moderate intensity activities.

Why should I use interval training?

  • You’ll burn more calories in a shorter amount of time. The more vigorously you exercise, the more calories you’ll burn.
  • You’ll improve your anaerobic and aerobic capacity. Research has shown that with interval training you actually can improve both anaerobic (shorter more intense) and aerobic (longer less intense) capacity. You’ll be able to exercise longer and with more intensity.
  • You’ll reduce the boredom in your workout. Turning up your intensity in short intervals can add variety to your exercise routine.
  • Your workouts will take less time. Your workouts can be reduced from 60 minutes to 30 minutes and you will still reach your goals.
