I am celebrating my one year anniversary as a member & participant of Lifestyles at OakBend. (You can be a member, but it’s more important to be a member who is actually a participant)!!  As you know, I came in with the mindset that I wanted to make successful modifications to my lifestyle that I would retain & sustain for the next 30 years.  The first 58 years of my life did not contain any routine, ongoing health & fitness focus.  As a recent retiree (Oct 2010) I soon realized that “routine” was a mental health requirement in my retirement phase of life.  Enter Lifestyles at OakBend as a partner to work with me in my quest for wellness & fitness.  Both you and Keith have worked diligently with me to set the pace & achieve results personally effective for me.  You are there listening to me, asking questions, sharing knowledge, and vesting an interest to design a customized program for my long term success.   I love the dynamics and diversity of your individual personalities and talents.  It makes for great workouts each and every time.  If you guys were both alike I think it’d be quite boring!! (LOL)  I’ve gained a significant amount of knowledge in healthy habits from each of you as well as learning safe approaches to exercise.  When I felt a slight gnawing at my back for some unknown reason you both readily adjusted my program to ensure my safety and well being was of the utmost priority.  I had no need to worry that Lifestyles at OakBend had some hidden agenda of “metrics” and “targets” that would be more important to achieve than my personal wellness.  The fact that you were able to immediately modify and adjust my program has most likely resulted in the retention of my as a Lifestyles at OakBend member.  Had you both not had the training, knowledge, and personal care to make the modifications in my program I think I would have ended into a mental slump that a backache can do to a person.  A sense of laziness and “why bother” could have easily crept into my routine while I pampered my aches resulting in “I think I need a break from all this”.  THANK YOU for making sure that didn’t happen!!!

I am looking forward to my “slow & steady” approach that fits my lifestyle modifications in partnership with you and Keith during my 2nd year with  Lifestyles at OakBend.

I have been health-conscious all my life. I taught aerobics and step classes in my thirties, became a jogger in my 40′s and was an active member of the YMCA in my 50′s. I was a member of Curves for two years and even hired a personal trainer several years ago to help reach my goals and stay healthy. Lifestyles at OakBend is by far the best program I have ever participated in. Randy Kaiser has developed the ultimate workout to burn calories and build muscle in 45 minutes. Changing the routines every six weeks keeps the workouts challenging and motivating. Randy and Keith adjust workouts for any age. Because of their program, I feel as young as ever and look forward to a healthy, active lifestyle for many years. The best part of this whole experience is that it has gotten my husband to wake up and join me at the gym after years of the “I don’t do mornings” excuse.
